Katharine Hepburn's Revolutionary Style

Hello again! It's been a little while since I talked about vintage trends and icons that inspire me. Who better to mention today than Katharine Hepburn? She was a woman of her own, creating her own star image different from others at the time. Hollywood was then fawning over the platinum blonde look (for good reason), but Katharine stood in contrast. She embodied the spirit of a modern and independent woman. Her iconic style was, at the time, revolutionary. Women wearing 'trousers' was viewed as audacious, and too masculine. Katharine stood up to that view and wore what she wanted; she wore what she felt was practical and comfortable. Yet, it was still tailored and flattering.

I admire her fearlessness in fashion. Katharine stayed true to herself, and created an effortless and casual style that still is popular today.
